From The Letters, Chapter True Identity, also later published under the title The Early Years:
“Mrs. Eddy once asked: if a patient came to you telling you they had feathers growing all over the body, would you give a treatment to remove the feathers, or would you waken your patient to see that they never had any feathers? This is our cue in healing. Be not concerned for what condition the patient claims to have. Awaken them to their true identity, and they will then see they never had “feather”–cancers, germs, nerves or whatnots–but these were only illusion, or a false sense of identity.”
