BEHEAD THE SENSE MIND
Up to now we have from time to time been in meditations in this class but basically it has been one of the Revelation of inner truths that have that are revealed in the Bible. Now there should come a moment in our lives when we discover that the inner truths revealed in the Bible are sort of there for a purpose of lifting us up to the level of that truth and beyond that truth. It isn’t sufficient to come up to the level of the Bible anymore than it would be to come up to the level of the ladder. You are getting on the ladder to reach higher and you are absorbing the message of the Bible not to pull you up to the level with the words of the Bible by any means. Once you have come to the conclusion that I and the Father are one, you are not going to go around repeating it. Now because I and the Father are one certain things are going to happen. I and the Father realized as one becomes the ladder to lift you higher into new deeds. You become, you might say, a living Bible. You become the inner voice of revelation itself functioning as your being.
Now as you sit back through the advantage of time you can see the Ark of Noah, its three levels and you begin to perceive you are seeing the outer man, the inner man and the Father—the three levels. You begin to see the three sons of Noah as the repetition of that idea. You begin to see Job as the spirit of inquiry, the freedom of man seeking the fulfillment of the Father. You learn that Job was in the city of Uz which is short abbreviated for Uztapha the Hebrew word for the City of Meditation. And you begin to see that through meditation from the Whirlwind there came a voice to Job which reconciled him to the loss of all of his possessions so that no longer did he care about the loss of material things. Oh, he regretted losing them, he regretted all of the things that happened to him but now he had an inner vision of something beyond of what he had thought was life and it silenced his tongue. And once this inner vision came, you remember all of his worldly goods were restored to him and he became a father again. The inner voice melted the earth.
Now these glimpses of the Bible slowly reveal to us another kingdom than the world of our senses. We begin to learn that we have been living in an imitation universe. And we see this very well portrayed by John the Baptist. Certain pieces of the Bible are now beginning to form the pieces that make the jigsaw puzzle come alive. John the Baptist beheaded and we see a significance there, we see the reliance upon the intellect. The reliance upon the mind! The reliance upon the sense mind has been removed. The symbolism of the beheading John’s head tells us that now mental man has had his day and will be decreased while spiritual man walks the earth. And so John is decreased while Jesus appears. And later just as the mind, the sense mind/the human mind, the head of John the Baptist is removed why so is the body of Jesus the Christ. And you see the relationship of the two events. First the head of John the Baptist and then the body of Jesus the Christ with one significant difference—John the Baptist didn’t rise again in the same body because he had lived in the head; Jesus the Christ rose again in the same body because he had lived in the spirit. And we go a step further and we see one more significant feature that both men, both men were killed by the same man. You see Herod Antipas behead John the Baptist. You see Herod Antipas giving the final order for the crucifixion of Jesus the Christ. And you see that you have just seen the lower waters, the higher waters and the firmament between. John the Baptist the lower water, the firmament between Herod Antipas and the higher waters Jesus the Christ.
When you live in the lower waters, the human intellect/the sense mind, your life is taken from you and you cannot rise again in that same form. You do not have power over Herod Antipas. But when you live in the higher water, when you life is taken from you, you discover it hasn’t been taken because Herod Antipas has no power over the higher water—the living waters and so the Christ forms emerges again as Jesus. Now there is a further significance and we find it in our Revelation of St. John when through John Jesus Christ reveals that Herod Antipas is the faithful martyr of God, of the spirit. Now that came through in our class in Revelation and this further Revelation about it at this moment is very important so I want to read you that in the Book of Revelations which was such a staggering revelation to us then.
In chapter 2, Revelation of St. John, John is receiving the letter to the churches from the spirit and in this second church, (13) I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. Now you see this revelation of Herod Antipas as the martyr of God is important to us because it reveals to us that all evil on the face of the earth is a camouflage. Mind you Jesus was crucified by the Antipas and rose from the dead, John the Baptist was behead by the Antipas. And in both cases the greatest human teacher John the Baptist, and the greatest spirit teach, Jesus the Christ both fall victim to this one Herod Antipas but now in the Revelation of St. John it is revealed that Herod Antipas is the martyr of God, of the spirit. And we see the necessity of drawing back and revealing to our own outer consciousness, look you out there, you have always run your universe you have lived in this imitation world. You have lived in the world of good and evil but I the spirit within I must teach you now that this physical universe, this John the Baptist universe, this Herod Antipas universe, even this physical Jesus Christ universe is the outer world teaching of an inner kingdom of a nonphysical universe that exists and is governed by God through the Father within. Everything in the outer has its place and its position and its purpose to reveal to us the within. And you cannot be in the wrong place; even the wrong place is the right place because you are in the wrong place in order to learn where the right place is. You cannot find good matter, you cannot find evil matter, and you cannot find matter. And therefore you cannot apply the word good to anything or the word evil to anything because once you do you have accepted matter, which you have now pronounced good or evil. And so as we put the pieces together again, we see behind the martyrdom of Herod Antipas—it as necessary to teach us to behead the mind, to behead the intellect, to behead the sense perception of a universe that isn’t real.
And then when one had done this and, he was beheaded, crucified, entombed which is the same not living in sense perception, he would rise in the same form. Now what is the message for us that every evil is a martyr in disguise? It goes so far as to behead and yet it is a martyr in disguise. It could entomb us but it is a martyr in disguise. And yet we can go beyond. We can see that the beheading is our teaching to rise above the John the Baptist level and that the crucifixion is a commandment to rise above the human form. And to perceive behind them that the human form can never be surmounted unless we first surmount the human mind. The sequence is important. The human mind must be transcended before you can transcend the belief in the tomb of matter. And only then is it revealed that each has played a role and out from behind the curtain steps the spirit of God itself saying now you have seen my teaching, put not your faith in princes, cease ye from man, cease ye from the mortal body, cease ye from the mortal mind. And all around us everyday this is reenacted.
Suppose for example as a mother your child died. And someone came to you and said there is only one way this child could be brought back to life, a heart transplant. And then the doctor says that is true but I have no heart to replace this with. There is only one way, the mother must make the sacrifice, she must give up her own heart for her child. Suppose a woman was presented with this, what would she say? You know that most mothers would instantly agree they would gladly give up their own life for the child if that were the only way. But suppose a Jesus were present who could say now look you have all misplaced your faith in my teaching. Did I transplant a heart for Lazarus or for the child of the widow at Nain? Let us recognize the truth here. God is life does this child need a heart transplant or the realization of truth? Now the heart, next the brain, no it is to give up your concept of body. Your concept of body must be transplanted, not the heart, not the brain these are fine things but what are they, they are the slow revelation to the human consciousness of something that is already established in the now. We can bring the future into the now by the revelation of truth within as the living Bible not a dead Bible of something that was said yesterday. But the Bible within you tells you that God is life and God is all there cannot be a dead person here. Before they bury that child they must bury God. Before they bury any body they must bury God because God is all. And if you don’t bury God you can’t bury a person.
Now this heart doesn’t depend on another heart to replace it another pump. Why a thousand years from now they will be saying why don’t you just get another body isn’t that what reincarnation is? The spirit goes out and gets another body because we haven’t learned the truth. Now we are progressing toward it, we are getting another heart; next it will be another lung, another liver, another this, another that, another brain. Always thinking on the material level. Never getting behind the scenes to see that the invisible kingdom of the Father never has gone anywhere. The perfection of it is omnipresent and that which we call a human heart is but our mental concept of that which is the invisible spirit.
Now what is this heart, atoms? Atoms perceived by the brain appearing as matter. The whole atomic structure of the universe is the perception of the human mind brought forth into projected form. Now where did these atoms come from? If God creates them why aren’t they perfect? You see the whole atomic structure of the universe is nothing but a world brain concept of the image and likeness of God. We have the image and likeness of God, we dwell in it, we live in it, and we have our being in it—the immaculate Self. And then this shadow, this world brain, forms it image of the image and recreates it into an atomic structure. And you know that in that atomic structure is your brain, the same brain that looks around it having been formed from the world brain, the same brain looks around it at other atoms and forms concepts of them—now we have our imitation physical world. And now something goes wrong in our imitation physical world and we have catastrophes.
We must begin to see the human world as but the outer picture in imitation of our true identity and our true perfect kingdom, which is the creation of God. As long as we cannot separate from this outer world and identify ourselves with it, we are rejecting the Christ. We are rejecting the Bible that we read. We are missing “The Mark.” Now there is a moment in you when you can begin to detach from this outer scene when you can see that God’s creation being perfect, all imperfection is a mental imposition upon you which you have accepted but you cannot do it until you have located the seat through which the Father functions. Who is the servant of the most high? Why could John the Baptist not walk forth again and say here I am again Herod, you have no power over me? Because he hadn’t found the seat of the most high!
As a matter of fact, if you read the Prophet Malachi the very last one in the Old Testament he receives the word that there will be a messenger on the earth and this messenger will be merely the pacesetter for the word of God. And when John the Baptist is told, was asked by the Pharisees to identify himself, he refuses to give any name about himself merely saying, I am the voice in the wilderness. I am the man who is to come forth as the messenger for the one who will come after me. I only baptize with the water but he who comes after me will baptize with the Holy Ghost. Now this Holy Ghost, you see, didn’t come to John the Baptist and without it his beheading becomes the termination of that incarnation for him. But with the Holy Ghost, which Jesus lived with, there is no termination there is simply life eternal. Now God is not human and as long as we persist in identify with a human we are rejecting the possibility of the Holy Ghost it cannot enter the human mind nor can the government of God enter the human body. And John the Baptist beheading was necessary and is necessary for each of us to view very carefully because we must go through that same beheading. The symbolism of it cannot be ignored. As long as you are still living out of a human mind you have not been beheaded, you cannot enter the Christ Jesus stage.
Now when you are in the John the Baptist stage, living out of the human mind, you are trying to change evil and make it good. When you are in the Christ Jesus stage you learn that you don’t have to change evil anymore. And the reason is because the only one who tries to change evil is the one who hasn’t learned the secret isn’t to change evil, the secret is to change you—that’s what evil is there fore to change you. When you change the evil dissolves. Evil is the martyr, evil is the teacher, evil is good because it teaches you to rise above itself. It teaches you to behead the sense mind which perceives the evil. And in so doing you put up your sword and Herod Antipas has no power over you. You are in the Christ Jesus stage which can look out upon the kingdom of God not this imitation world.
Now this is coming above the Bible, this is coming into the place where statements in the Bible are heard by you in a different way. Now normally you are going to hear these statements in the Bible and listen to them and try to understand them and then try to apply them. For instance the Bible will say to you, I in the midst of you am mighty. Someday that becomes a very electrifying statement to you. But that is just a child activity. When you become a spiritually adult you do not hear the voice saying I in the midst of you am might, you are the voice and you are saying to outer consciousness. You are saying I in the midst of you are might to this outer man which is posing as you. You are taking it, that outer man into dominion under yourself. You begin to see every statement in the Bible this way. It isn’t something you are to hear anymore, it is something you are to deliver to this outer fellow. You begin to identify as the Iwhich is giving these statements to the outer fellow. You are not on the receiving end of these statements anymore you are giving them. And you can measure your progress by this as you feel the giving-ness of these statement to the outer fellow instead of being the outer fellow who receives them, you are coming up to the level of the Bible and then you will go beyond that level. Then the statements that come through will be your life itself, living itself. There will not be statements, there will be the word living itself as the flesh. And the whole purpose of the Bible is to get you to this point where you are the walking Bible not making statements but living the word, with the word living you. I and the Father are one is no longer something you try to remember. When the green light changes to red or the red to green, this is your consciousness and this is your life and this is your law and this is your activity and this is your being.
Now we all meditate with our eyes closed. Some of us are learning to meditate with our eyes open and we find as we meditate with our eyes open—and we find as we meditate with our eyes open we begin to see that we have come into a different level of consciousness. We are no longer simply retreating into a self-imposed silence for a minute or two or five to blot out the things of this world but rather we are looking directly at the things of this world because we have reached that level of consciousness which can say to the things of this world, I recognize you for what you are, I can look straight at you and I can nonreact, I can do this twenty four hours a day for you are but the teaching; you are not the reality, you are not the fact, you are not the life, you are but the teaching and you are my text book and I look at you and I read you. I don’t react to you I study you. And I detect from everything that happens in you the adjustment that I must make within myself. The outer becomes the evidence of the degree of awareness that we have within. That is out the outer is for. We measure our within by what we see without. And if the without is discord we know that the within has not learned its lessons.
Now we look at the without and it is our Pilate, it has no power over us because we have been beheaded. The sense mind is functioning differently now. Before it used to rush out there and pull in all of these vision and auditions, these experiences, these sensation but this sense mind is different now. We are training it to become a servant of the within not the without. It is going to rush out from within with good news with the everlasting gospel, with truth. It is going to externalize out there the truth instead of bringing within the lie. We are reversing the senses. And as we stand there looking at the without with no reaction, we are waiting for the infinite mind to define through us its truth dispelling that which we see. If we see tanks riding into Czechoslovakia we observe this with no reaction it certainly isn’t happening in my Father’s kingdom. And if we were in the midst of it, we would have to maintain that same watchfulness that inner awareness that this isn’t happening in my Father’s kingdom this is all Antipas, the fox, this is my teaching right now and I must dematerialize my consciousness. That’s right I am taking one simple little truth and I am holding it up to the Russian Army, it is that I in the midst of thee are greater he that walks the earth. And if it is true than this I in the midst of me is as powerful now while I live in the midst of the Czechoslovakia which is a concept, it is as powerful now this I in the midst of me as this I was in the midst of Hezekiah. They have only the arm of flesh; they are sowing to a material universe. But it must boomerang for them if I stand in the midst of this so-called material universe behead with no sense mind to accept the pictures living in the realization that the spirit of God in the midst of me is the spirit of God in the midst of them. One invisible spiritual life and the one in the realization of it is a majority with that spiritual life and is the law of harmony to all that it is beholding.
Now apparently the forces of this world must continue to exert themselves as the appearance of evil until we are able to spiritually assert our identity for you for me for the world evil must appear, it must continue to perpetuate itself as long as we reject the Christ within. For it is only the perpetuation of evil in our midst that tells us that we have not risen to the Christ and it is only the Christ realization that eventually dissolves the evil appearance.
The stepping forth from apparently being entombed only comes through the ascended Christ. The government of God cannot function in the material world and if you are living in a material body, the government of God cannot function in that material body as long as you entertain the notion that you have a physical body you are saying to the Father do not enter here. You are saying to the Father I prefer the law of decay and I prefer the law of good and evil matter and I prefer the law of death and I prefer the law of infection, I prefer the law of heredity. Don’t give me any of that divine law, I am going to remain a material form uncreated by God but it is safer that way.
Now the day has never come nor will it come when God created a material form. And so you must see that John the Baptist who was behead, the Herod Antipas who behead him, the Jesus Christ who was crucified these are material forms. Crucifixion was possible; beheading was possible because God does not create material forms. Human death is possible because God did not create that human body that dies. And only when we have come above the sense mind do we perceive the Christ body, which says thou has no power over me Mr. Death.
Now this Christ body is what we have been seeking but just as the entombment of Jesus, after the beheading of John the Baptist your Christ body cannot be revealed to you until you have come into the Christ mind. And you cannot do that while you still live in the sense mind, which perpetuates the illusion of the physical body. Now we have tried very hard to bring the power of God into our physical bodies, into our physical lives. And we may think to a mind measure we have succeeded but it never can be done. You can never bring the power of God into a physical form. You can bring the power of God into nothing; you have no power to bring the power of God into anything. The only power you have is summed up in the words thy of mine own self can do nothing. But the Christ body of you, the Christ mind of you it lives under the government of God and when you have shaken off the illusion that you are a physical being with a human mind and have discovered the Father within, then you have found the source of the power which walks forth impervious to all evil that appears on earth. It is the power of God functioning through the Christ mind and Christ body which is the power that dissolves the appearance of evil. And it is the Holy Ghost from the Father to the Christ mind and Christ body, which carries the Word into your experience.
Now this shuttle, this Holy Ghost, between God and the Christ mind and Christ body is the very Word of God becoming flesh. And you know that when we are in this mortal mind individual brain complex, you know what we receive? We receive the unholy ghost. And that is what we live by, the unholy ghost, and the inner broadcast from this world brain to our individual brain. You begin to see that there are two closed circuits TV things going all the time—God, the Father, to Christ the Son and then there comes the Holy Ghost and this is your closed circuit TV in the level of Truth, divinity. And then here is your closed circuit from world brain to the individual brain and that unholy ghost is the impulse from world brain to individual brain and that’s a closed circuit. And our individual brain living in that closed circuit apart from God, apart form the power of God never receives the Holy Ghost and must be behead. It must be deprived of its domination. And then because the material body is nothing more than our sense mind reaction to the invisible atom, the material body now is freed from the sense mind which is reacting to the atom and you are out of that closed circuit TV called humanhood. The Christ now begins to ascend within you as a Jesus Christ walking or whatever your sir name happens to be and now you are beginning to come into the living waters, not the lower waters of the imitation world but the living waters of the kingdom of God, the Holy Ghost begins to enter into you awareness because you have crucified the sense mind that you may living in the Christ mind. You have been able to look out at evil with a sense mind nonreacting not trying to improve evil but instead that is a signal to you that you must improve your self to rise to the point where you are too pure to accept iniquity as something that can maneuver you.
Now there are two dimensions revealed here in this beheading and this crucifixion both performed by the same man, there is the dimension of the mortal being and the lie and the dimension of the kingdom of God, the immortal self and the truth. He, who lives in the immortal Self in the Truth, is not concerned about any Herod Antipas in his life. He is not concerned about the complete spectrum of human evil. He is not trying to become something he is not living in yesterday and today and tomorrow, he has foreshortened these three phases of mental concept. He has brought yesterday into today, he has brought tomorrow into today and he has taken today and spread it out into infinity. He is seeing the universe with the Christ mind. I don’t have to become anything I simply have to recognize who I AM. My future isn’t tomorrow; my future is for this moment.
Now we have many material concepts to overcome and it is difficult as they are, they must be overcome we have every biblical authority telling us that they must be overcome. We have to look at two chairs ten feet apart and see that this chair and that chair are matter. And matter was not created by God and that which was not created by God can’t be there. We don’t have two chairs anymore. We see now that atoms were there. Who put the atoms there not God this world brain put them there. Its false impression of the kingdom of God becomes this atomic universe, the false atomic universe; there isn’t a single atom in the world. Now these atoms instead of chairs, they are there but God didn’t put them there because atoms are separate little particles—God’s universe is one no separation so there are no atoms there, what is there? I AM, spirit. Fine! Now before we had two chairs and ten feet between them, now that we don’t have any chairs we don’t have ten feet between them. The concept of ten feet cannot exist because there is nothing to be ten feet between. The concept of space depends upon the concept of matter. Remove matter and you have no space and then it usually takes let’s say to walk between those chairs or thirty seconds whatever to walk those ten feet. But now you don’t have ten feet there. Remove the concept of space and you can’t have a concept of time. Once you take away the concept of matter space and time goes with it and so does motion. And you find all of this is the human stage, the human television and it all depends upon you being here in a sense mind. As long as you are here in a sense mind, you have got two chairs, ten foot of space between them and thirty seconds to transverse that space. But if there is no sense mind here that is all gone you are in the kingdom of God without the illusion of matter, time or space. It exits there because there is a sense mind here and what is the sense mind? Let’s examine it.
You have matter out there that tells you that, your eyes, your fingertips? But God didn’t create matter and therefore your eyes and your fingertips are a liar. Now if your eye tells you matter is there but matter isn’t what good is your sense of vision spiritual? Spiritually it is of no value to you whatsoever and not even needed it is liar. Now if you sense of vision isn’t telling the truth do you have a sense of vision? Did God create something that doesn’t tell the truth? You begin to see that your five senses are not God created. All they can report is matter and matter isn’t there. The senses aren’t even there. Ah, the senses aren’t there and that is why that which isn’t there can report something that isn’t there. But what is there? Does the Christ mind have senses? No! And you begin to come into a new dimension of touch and thinking and taste and smell and hearing.
When you have begun to pierce the veil you don’t something spiritually, you don’t see something spiritually, you don’t think the way you think humanly now you begin to see that you let spirit touch you. You don’t do the touching let spirit identify itself to you—spirit comes and touches you. These things that you experience come from spirit and manifest to you. Spirit thinks to you. You are letting yourself be meek unto the spirit. Instead of going out and touching you are waiting for spirit to touch you. Your complete orientation is the other way around. You are waiting for the word within to define itself. Instead of using the senses to identify outer objects, you are letting spirit do the identification and it won’t identify a thief and a murderer and an adulteress. It will identify its kingdom. You are being to feel I of mine own self can do nothing. There is an inner intelligence that I must wait to come through me for this is how the Holy Ghost ignites me into the perception of reality. We don’t touch a transfigure Jesus but we are lifted up into that level of perception in which the transfigured Jesus appears to us—the Christ appears to us, the Christ directs us. We let this I in the midst of us be mighty until it becomes our touch our taste our smell and all of these human levels of perception are replaced. The new level of perception is Christ consciousness isn’t it? And it doesn’t go out and finger something and pronounce it to be which it fingers it to be. But rather it perceives beneath the surface of the material that we would finger humanly and there it perceives God itself.
Now then we are touching glimpses within ourselves of another level of being that we are feeling the birth pain of that new level. Beginning to understand that it is not our function or our responsibility to change this world at all. That isn’t our job. Our job is to un-know this world. If this world would be changed God wouldn’t be waiting for you and me to do it. There is nothing you and I are ever going to do that God wouldn’t have already done. This world is here to train us not to change the world but to change from concept to truth and that truth is not found through the sense mind that had to be taken away from John the Baptist.
Now it thinks this might be a good place to pause. We are in the formation of a new idea and possibly it will bear fruition in this second half. Let’s have a little moment of relaxation.
BODY UNDERSTOOD
Now suppose you were making a cake you had a recipe to put in, Oh, one cup of flour and three eggs. And for some reason or other you put in three cups of flour and one egg. Well that is the end of your cake. Now because God is the creator the recipe must be perfect and until we learn how to follow it obviously we bake the wrong kind of cake, the wrong life. Now very clearly we are told that we must learn to come above the body consciousness. And I hold this out there for you so that you will look at the challenge and realize this is something that you have got to come to grips with. There must be an overcoming of the body consciousness and until we do we are making up our own recipe. We are living in a consciousness of the body and that is the same body that will have a tomb over it. Now we don’t have to do that. In fact, we dare not if we wish to live as the son, the child, of spirit. Spirit doesn’t have a human body and so as long as I am in a body consciousness I have hit my snag and I am at a bottleneck and all progress from that point on is going to be purely mental.
Now we deal with these things here because it is so easy to persuade ourselves if I just learn how to learn how to handle my finances better or if I don’t over exercise or don’t over exert or maybe if I hire somebody else to do the lawn things will be right. Now that is fine but what we are trying to learn here is not how to be more comfortable or how to live another two years. We are trying to learn the secret of life eternal. We are trying to learn exactly the Christ message and not to be willing to pause on the way and take a detour and say I have gone as far as I want to go. From this point on I will just coast in. We are seeking the ultimate. And ultimately only those who are seeking the ultimate can possibly listen to this message because it continues in that manner. It is seeking to reach the point that we can look at a wall and realize why Jesus could walk through it. Where we can look at water and realize why Jesus could walk on it. And when we can see that he didn’t walk through a wall but that there was no wall there we will have caught what we are seeking. We are seeking truth and there is no matter and as long as you entertain the belief of matter as truth, reality, something to be reckoned with you are still in a body consciousness, an awareness of the physical universe. And the every essence of Christ understanding that there is nonphysical kingdom of God governed only by God not Herod Antipas, not by Pilate, not by Russia, not by China, not even by the United States—governed by God. And that the only way you live in this government as citizen of the kingdom of God is to become a spiritually realized being. There is no other way to live in the government of God. You cannot live in a material body, in a material concept and live in the government of God. For you there is always a Russian tank or a tax collector or a physical problem. But for you when you are above the body consciousness even though you still appear in a human form you live and walk in the government of God, the invisible kingdom of God. And you are in the two worlds—the one that is in reality and human senses looking at that one that is living in the kingdom of God will see the form called Jesus. Human sense will still see the physical you even though you are living in the kingdom of God.
Now certain things have come through that I want to share with you. If you were to take an atom and multiply it in size through an enlarging machine, one billion times you still couldn’t see it that is how small it is. Now this atomic body that you allegedly have is nothing but the imagination of the world brain. But from it because the world brain individualizes as your individual brain you perceive this atomic body as a physical body. You perceive nothing as nothing. Now this so-called physical body then is your mental perception of a nothing, which you have accepted as the something. And it becomes a physical form not under the law of God because obviously it would be perfect if it were under the law of God.
Now this atom is so small that you cannot see it and yet because you cannot see it you still can form in spite of the fact that you cannot see it you can still form a concept of it. Here you are looking at something you can’t see and you have a concept of it. Do you see the marvelous things science has done for us by revealing that which doesn’t exist called the atom? You can look at that which is allegedly there but you can’t see it. And yet that is what your body is made of. Now then if you cannot see it but it appears to be your physical form, what is death, what is death but your concept can no longer maintain itself. You can’t hold that vision of the invisible atom which you have called your form and you lose that vision and that separation from the atom through your inability to receive it any further creates a change in your concept called death. Now were do you go? You don’t go. It wasn’t you in the first place. You don’t go anywhere. But you do come into another level of this consciousness and there are those in parting, you have heard the stories no doubt many times those in parting who begin to talk as if they were identify someone who isn’t visible to anyone else. Hello Mary! Just before the moment of going Hello Mary! Hello Jack! And we have thought well they have gone out of their minds. But there are also those who came back, they didn’t go very far they came back and they said well Mary was my daughter who died, I saw her. Now this wasn’t out of my mind, I was out of my human mind but I actually saw Mary, I even talked with Mary and I talked with Jack. They went on ahead of me but I caught up with them and then someone here called me back so I came back. Now you have heard such cases. Now then it gives us a clue that is very important here. The consciousness from human to that new consciousness that then appears after death, because the consciousness is never broken, that accelerated consciousness after death is still the same one but now it lives on another level. But that level is still between the outer perception that we have entertained and that inner atom. Because it is billion miles away that atom, you could multiply it a billion times up and still not see it, between there is a lot of leeway. And so you can die to this human sense and come below this human sense and still be twenty (or plenty?) degrees away from the still invisible atom in your concept. And even after death you are still in a concept of the atom but you are a little closer to it. You are in a new consciousness and you can come back to this one, this concept of the atom or that concept of the atom they are both false they are just different levels of the concept that we entertain of an invisible atom.
And you see if you develop that other consciousness of the after-death while you are on this side of it, how can you have death? The whole idea of death is transformation from this consciousness to that consciousness but if you have that consciousness how can you change from it? And so you can’t die. We are beginning to see that human death is completely exposed as the illusion of our changing concept about an atom that isn’t there. And the more you dwell on this the more it begins to talk to you and you finally find that when you have a Christ consciousness which is not a consciousness of an atom at all but is simply the awareness of the divine image and likeness, then there is no change at all possible. There are no degrees and in a Christ consciousness you are walking in the kingdom of God here in a form and where do you go when the form goes? Well, you can’t go anywhere the same Christ consciousness is you that was you in the form. You are above the law of material death. Now do we want to find how to be comfortable for two more years? Do we want to find how to meet our financial responsibilities or do we want to find this Christ self, which is above the law of material death. If it is impossible you might as well throw away the Bible, and if it is possible you might as well throw away everything else because this is all that would make life worthwhile to find that which is and discard that which isn’t to change from the garment of lies to the garment of truth.
There is an area where human consciousness changes and becomes another consciousness and we have called it death and that same consciousness that change too can come right back if there is a Jesus to say, Lazarus come forth to prove that the consciousness that died is still a living consciousness and this little bitsy heart transplant is just the beginning of the realization of the full depth of Lazarus come forth. There is a living consciousness there you can come back. This little child is sleeping not dead there is a living consciousness there it can come back. Ah, but it had that consciousness here instead of there it wouldn’t have to go anywhere would it? And if it had the full consciousness here where could it go? We are getting new ideas about life and death. And we are beginning to lose this paralyzing fear about a death that never happens. Why? Because the body consciousness is what persuades you that someone has died or that someone is sick or that someone has a problem. It all comes down to the body consciousness and it is a consciousness of nothing, nothing which is exactly what we learn to become nothing.
Now as we un-know the body consciousness what is left? While we are talking right now for example about losing our material consciousness it is almost impossible for you to quickly lose the idea that there is something under your feet holding you up and what is there under your feet holding you up? If matter is not real what is holding you up? And if matter is not real why is there something to hold up? Do you see what losing the body consciousness is going to involve? It there an earth under your feet? But if the earth is not matter but is the Lord’s, if the earth is spirit and the fullness of the earth is spirit is it holding you up? Is it holding all these buildings up? You see once you begin to work on losing the body consciousness, you are releasing yourself from bondage to the tomb. We don’t get buried when we die we are buried now. That is just the final realization of it. We are buried in a body consciousness. And the body consciousness tells us that we are mortal, material beings walking on a material earth where tanks come and men say you go to sleep and you can’t come out until 5:00 o’clock there is a curfew. This is material law only because there is a body consciousness to hear it. There is not a Hezekiah, there is not a Christ consciousness standing there to say thou has no power over me because I have lived in the consciousness of God.
All of India with all its great sages, where is the Christ consciousness? It’s mouthing, it’s mouthing, and it’s working illusions. We have to come out of this consciousness called matter and then we will see why it was possible for Paul to say there is neither male nor female. What an incredible statement there is neither male nor female. Look how deep you must go in order to rise out of that consciousness of male or female. I bet you in Czechoslovakia they don’t believe what he said about there is neither bond nor free. And I bet in Israel they don’t believe what he said there is neither Greek nor Jew. Because there must be the Christ consciousness there before you can see that these great revelations given to us are to show us the totality of the ascension to which we must aspire. When you can look out and see neither male nor female, bond nor free, Greek nor Jew why will it be? Because you have not accepted yourself as a physical being! You have put yourself back into the first chapter of Genesis where you belong. You are living as the creation of God not subservient to human law. You are not going to disobey human law or walk past your responsibilities as an individual on this earth because your heavenly Father knoweth your needs but rather grace, grace becomes the law that flows through you and it is the I power within you that is greater than him on the face of the earth.
Take all of your human enemies, you human ideas about material selves and the problems these material selves have and see that there is an oasis in the midst of them, a table a place where you can live in the midst of all these falsities, a secret place where the servant of the most high receives the living word, the grace, and it flows through you because there is no body there, there is no material being there, there are no barricades saying keep out. There is an open invitation to the Father, enter Father, speak Father, thy servant heareth. And in this one-ness because the body consciousness has been removed the law of grace is functioning. You have found the oasis, the table in the midst of thine enemies. And whether it is physical, emotional or moral or financial these enemies cannot stand there in the presence of the spirit of the Father. You are way above John the Baptist. You are walking with the disciples. You are walking with God.
Now every time we are willing to sit back and say, Well, I have gone far enough just add one more question. Am I still living in a body consciousness? And if I am my days work isn’t over. I still have got something to do today and I better stop thinking about tomorrow because my today is very important. Today is how I determine what happens tomorrow. And yesterday is determining today. That which I do today completely depends on what I did yesterday. And if I want tomorrow to be the kingdom of God it better be today or it won’t be tomorrow. Tomorrow is today and the future is now and in the I consciousness which transcends the body consciousness time is changing for you into the eternal expression, space is changing for you into the infinite expression. The law of good and evil is changing into the expression of grace. All of the things of this world slowly are converted not into an atomic thing but they are converted back to the original, the genuine, the one and only the immaculate. And all of the laws of divine harmony function in the one who has been able to step out of the body which is nothing more than a body consciousness. That’s all stepping out of the body ever meant. To step out of your consciousness of matter.
As long as you are protecting a heart and a liver and a lung you are rejecting the Christ teacher and you are rejecting the Christ of your own identity. We all think that the Christ, you see was crucified 2000 years ago but we are doing it today. We in material consciousness crucify the Christ every minute of our lives. We are all crucifying the Christ when we walk down the street. As long as we have the belief in a corporeal existence, we miss the whole message of incorporeality. It is only incorporeality that can’t be crucified. It is only incorporeality that multiplies loaves and fishes. It is only incorporeality that sees no withered arm. And where you see the withered arm and the hungry and the dead you are looking at corporeality through the eyes of corporeality and we are in the tomb. To arise from the tomb, to be risen, to awake from the sleep of physical world, is a release. You can cry out about the things of this physical world but that is almost like a child crying out about things it doesn’t understand. That isn’t for you anymore. There is nothing to cry about in this physical world except to un-see it, to un-know it, to accept your reality.
And when the evils of this world beset you, you can even say thank you Father I was complacency accepting myself in a body consciousness and in a human life and I was going to settle for just a simple human life of happiness or peace. Don’t go to God for a little human life with happiness and peace, he hasn’t got it to give you. God cannot give you a human life and you cannot expect God to guarantee you a happy human life or a happy life in a material body and that is why our prayers are so futile.
Now you may not like to hear that you have got to drop your body consciousness and you have the right not to do it. But there are those among you who know that it must be done and we want to learn the ways of doing it. And they all come down to the purification which possible only when the sense mind has abated. When it can look out and see that there is no power in the material world over spiritual identity. Matter has power over matter but matter has no power over spirit. The hammer and the nail do not enter the spirit. The crucifixion does not touch the light. What kind of a world would it be if God had created a place where John the Baptist is could be behead and armies could overrun God’s creation and evils could beset those who are children of God. You purification is to un-know all of these beliefs that the sense mind has accepted. To un-know it right back to the moment of birth and then to un-know that too.
And for all you mother’s who say, oh, why he can’t tell me I didn’t give birth to physical boy or a physical girl. I will reply to you I can tell you that. Call no man your Father upon the earth. The only problem you have in dropping the idea that you gave birth to a physical boy or girl is this: you still think that you are a physical being. When you drop the notion that you are a physical being you will see that you couldn’t have given birth to a physical boy or girl. You are spirit; you couldn’t give birth to a physical thing anymore than God can. It is the concept of you that gave birth to another concept. That is why there is neither male nor female, Greek nor Jew, bond nor free. Get rid of the physical you and you don’t have all of the physical problems. You don’t have a physical death or a physical birth or a physical life to be concerned about.
Now we are living in our spiritual Self. And I am not concerned about the physical self but for some reason nothing happens to it. Nobody comes up and stabs it. Nobody make demands upon it that can’t fulfill because that physical fellow out there has learned a secret—he’s got infinity working for him instead of his little sense mind. He’s got the whole Bank of America behind it. He got life eternal behind him and in front of him. He is a little fellow a nothing and because he is a nothing he is infinite. He is able to just wait for the Father who doeth all things. He’s not saying to the Father, look what I did, I gave birth or I did this or I did that. He is recognizing that only God can do anything in the world that is Truth. Only the Father can do anything and everything that I humanly did was nothing whatsoever. I merely perpetuated a world of concepts because I haven’t even risen to the level of John the Baptist. And now that I do and behead, remove, all those sense concepts and then get deeper into that memory which still retains them while I am talking about getting rid of them until there is a pure me, a reborn me. And that reborn me is the only me there ever was, I have merely returned to myself, the spirit of God.
Now as you read the Bible then you will find that when you have come into the understanding that you are not a physical being and that a body consciousness is a falsehood, it is actually a crucifixion of the Christ. Then you will find that the words of the Bible no longer are coming to you they are going from you. You are sending them to that body consciousness. You are saying look out there don’t you dare tell me you’ve got a pain, I in the midst of thee am mighty—now you hush. You see you are beginning to see that this body is here for one purpose to be your servant not your master. And all of the activities of that body have the same purpose to be the servant of the spirit of God that indwells that body. It becomes the temple of the living God. And now you are at a higher level you know, well I can’t, what if that body does go? It has got to go I want it to go. This consciousness of mine doesn’t want to be fettered forever. I don’t always want to have a body to watch over to direct. Besides I know where to get a better one. And so you begin to build your Christ body. Now you have got the Christ mind working you can build your Christ body. And let them try to bury that one. Let every infection in the world invade you, it is about as effective as nails trying to stuck in the air. You can’t be crucified by these things anymore. Why? What has changed? Nothing, nothing at all! You have merely come closer to the truth. You have been in reality. You are living in the Christ mind; the Christ body and you are in the same place you always were. But now you are not in a physical body you are unconfined.
Do you see how communication and transportation are just the feeble attempts at bringing to us the understanding of the allness of your being, the omnipresence of your being? In omnipresence what kind of transportation do you want? Transportation is for your physical body. Now how do you transport spirit? And communication, why that is the two human minds. The Christ mind doesn’t communicate with wires. The Holy Ghost is the communication. Omniscience is the law and it is shared by all those in the Christ mind. Now we are coming into our kingdom and the Bible tells us when we do we are the princes of the kings of the earth. We are priests; we can receive word from the Father to shower out to the world. We are not beholden to material mankind, material law. But rather the Father’s law is functioning through us.
Now let’s look back at death then and see this new consciousness that is forming at that moment is not the fully developed Christ consciousness, it just a change from this consciousness. But if you can develop it now that consciousness that’s that degree of death that you will never face. And the more you develop the spiritual consciousness the less you are going to have to do with anything called death. Now that doesn’t mean you walk out of a body and there is nobody to bury, the world will still have its concept of you and that is the body they will bury. But you will walk out. You will walk out to the degree that you have attained yourself.
Now then while you are eliminating the belief in matter something in you will be entertaining that belief at the same time. But there is a moment when you can feel that you have been walking in a spiritual universe without a spirit without a physical body. The real you and as you feel this there is a freedom which no word can describe. And in that freedom you will find this the perfect state of communion. When there is no material body in your mentality, when the mind is not concerned with a material world and has dropped it and there is just the pure consciousness of you living in the oneness with the pure consciousness of God and this is when you are in the experience of the Holy Ghost. This is when revelation flows. This is when grace liveth your life. When the outer says I live yet not I, the Christ liveth my life. And this isn’t just an isolate occurrence this becomes more and more a normalcy. It becomes a normal consciousness. And lo and behold the added things are appearing all the time. You didn’t have to think about them. In fact that is why they appeared, you thought not. You were in the cloud of unknowing letting the Father do the knowing for you.
To un-know your concepts, to un-know the material world around you is a glorious experience; it melts in front of you. It ceases to cling to you and make its demand upon you. And all of the doors that before you had to open to walk through now no longer hold you; you walk through the walls of these concepts. They were holding you back. They were the bed that you had made and you were lying in the bed, the bed of concepts. And now you walk right through these concepts. You pick up your bed and you walk through the concepts that had littered you life providing boundaries. You find they were never there. Limitation begins to be an obsolete word. How can God be limited and how can the Father flowing through the son express limitation? That means that un-limitation will express to the measure of the need. It doesn’t mean that they are going to come into your yard and unload a twelve tons of Gold. Too the level of the need un-limitation comes the law of your being. No need is removed from the fulfillment of the Father. Now isn’t that grace? Can the body cry out under those circumstances when every need is instantly met by the Father?
Now this level, this level in which the needs are being met, the signs are following, is an introduction to another level and in this other level you are in the higher communication in which through you the works of the Father are done on earth. You are no longer an individual who has risen to a point where you are showing forth the fruitage, you are now a depot. You are beginning to build into a spiritual household. Now that you have proven your self, now that you know more about the truth of your being and your neighbor’s being you are a household, you are a level, you are a plateau. And you find you have a family of others at that level with which you can work collectively to bring the light through.
You see we have been trained not for ourselves at all. At first we want to be comfortable and later we learn that it goes deeper. And when we have a touch of the light we learn we don’t have it at all. We are nothing but a place where the light goes through for a larger purpose. And at that level where you are absolutely nothing except a place where the light shows itself, you are only then beginning to be reborn. You are still in the throws of labor; you still haven’t put on the robe of immortality. You have a good bit of evidence about it.
Now when do the magi’s come? When does the world beat a path to your door? When you cease to exist as a human being? That is the moment. And then all there is, is the Christ babe, the spirit realized. The birth of the babe in your consciousness is that moment when there isn’t any human being where you walk. And then there is the child of God. That is your Immaculate Conception realized. Now that child of God isn’t male or female, it isn’t Greek or Jew, it isn’t bond or free it is spirit. And from that moment on every Herod Antipas in the world is powerless against you because that child is the power of God.
If we could meditate at this moment for those of you who can relinquish this feeling of an earth beneath your feet and a heaven above you and rest in the allness of God right here and now wherever you are, you will see that we have place these physical places around us and they are not there. You are walking in omnipresence every moment of your life. All that surrounds you is God, spirit, and freedom—there is no matter. This incredible concept is formed of the mist that came over the world. The substance of it is pure imagination. And it is possible to prove that in small ways and in bigger ways and in monumental way. There simply never was a material world it is not in your Father’s kingdom. And as long as you live it, you are crucifying the Christ just as much as they did physically 2000 years ago. Only you are doing worse, you are crucifying your self and letting an imposter take its place.
And these glorious moments of meditation are the release from that imposter when you drop the false you and put on the mantel of glory. The I that stood at the door knocking enters to bring you life abundant. I AM the life and I AM your Self. I AM your being. I AM the Christ that you buried but now I AM un-entombed. I AM your new consciousness. I have come to take you through the kingdom of God. Cease ye now from man whose breath is in his nostrils. Cease from the physical body. Cease from the mortal mind. Awake that is all you do to cease—awake—and Christ will give thee light. And this light is the life of every person. Not confined, not finite completely free and in that moment of freedom is the beginning of a new experience. Pause
I am above the body consciousness and can claim sonship as something within the realm of my realization. Pause
Now we won’t make the mistake of trying to jump out of our skins. But we can with persistent meditation on that subject find a inner release and even though at times you find that the problem seems insurmountable, while you are working at it backing away from it finally being forced to a dead end, don’t be surprise that behind you a little doorway opens up. It may seem almost impossible but something does open. A little gleam of light and you strife forward through it and you will find you have reduced the mountain to a mole head. Something has taken over, something that reaches through and lifts you up and says well done. And that is how it is done, you don’t do it. You simply try and you release your self from this inner something which takes you invisibly and lifts you over the hurdles and in a moment truth steals in—like a little trap door opens in the mind that you didn’t know was there. And yes you can see it, you can feel it, you can know it. You have entered a depth you didn’t know you had or maybe one you once did enter and something you have just returned to. Now you can take another breath because your journey is only beginning. There is more of the same. And as the ability to enter, the secret place develops. The outer world is going to throw more evil at you. More and more because it wants you to enter more of these trap doors until there is no evil too great for you. And when there is no evil too great there will be no evil. When it stops having power over you it stops being there and there are no more trap doors to go through. The kingdom has no trap doors.
Now the best friend you will ever have is the light within you. Make a friend of it. It will prove its friendship and introduce you to the Father. When you read John the Baptist and Herod and Jesus and see the whole panorama spread before you, you will see that this physical world is just McDuffy’s reader—read it for what its worth. But keep it out there where it has no power just a teaching done in time and space through motion and material consciousness. To make the Christ of you rise up out of this tomb, be still and know that I AM God and I am in perfect control of the perfect kingdom. You can trust God to be running a perfect universe in spite of what you see. And see the hand behind what you see and it will rent the veil for you.
Anyone who then can practice meditation with their eyes open will begin to see the nonpower of the physical world. Finally, that sense perception will just stand outside never, never entering to defile. When the Revelation of St. John tells us that the consciousness of God cannot be defiled, it is telling us that nothing can change the perfection of God that exists. Nothing can change it. Your Father will always feed you his life.
