DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MENTAL HEALING AND SPIRITUAL HEALING

When one person endeavors to heal another by convincing them that they are perfect and that THEY KNOW IT, this is healing by mental suggestion. The danger in this inferior method is that it’s employing the use of the human mind to contact another human mind to effect a change. Who’s to say the motive is entirely pure here?

There is no battle to be waged between two perceived powers. Spiritual healing is of God alone and entails opening up to His perfect realm of Spirit and realizing that this is the realm of the real.

MORE HEALING
Weird stuff going on here! This morning my eyes were excruciatingly itchy – unbelievably itchy!! I was reminded of an incident many years ago when one eye was so itchy and I rubbed it so hard that my boyfriend had to drive me to the hospital for emergency treatment. I had to wear an eye patch for several loooong days! Ugh!!
But, no problem, I’ll just put on some antihistamine eye drops … No, stop!! But Papa they’re just over-the-counter … No! I want you to apply your healing principles. But they’re sooo itchy… No! You can do it!
So I said one sentence to negate the claim: “No!!! – you can’t be itchy because God can’t have itchy eyes!! Then about 10-20 statements of AFFIRMATION, declaring that God is all power and present everywhere! He created me and my eyes out of the selfsame substance that He consists of. Jesus never missed – He saw only spiritual reality where humans see a lie. I got so involved in my affirmations of Truth that I didn’t even realize that all the itchiness had entirely disappeared. 3-4 hours later, I felt a little bit itchy again, so I said more sternly than ever, “No!” As I began to repeat my healing affirmations, it immediately disappeared – this time permanently! Praise God, praise God, praise God!!!

Would you like to try a very basic level healing experiment with me right now? If so, let’s try this: choose some small problem that has been bothering you but you’ve managed to ignore. Have you got it?
Good. Now I’m going to ask you to put it so far out of your conscious awareness that we’re not going to discuss it at all. No, it’s not the pink elephant game – it’s not a game at all. The issue could be a specific mental or physical anguish. Let’s give it a general name so we’re all on the same page. Let’s call it recurring headaches (This has never been my particular case: I’m just keeping it general for us now.).
Now what we’re going to want to do is talk in great detail about what IS true. For this we will need to see through false appearances right straight to the reality that Jesus “saw” which healed every single time. He saw everyone as they really are – perfect! Right where the headache seemed to be Jesus saw God’s own child, unencumbered and free!
Actually I believe it’s safe to say it was never a two-step process with Jesus (believing the lie and then un-believing it); He simply SAW THROUGH the seeming and beheld the person healed.
The only thing that remains for us is to be consistent, tenacious and strong. Whenever the slightest thought or remembrance surfaces, take charge for dear life!
See yourself as God created you: perfect, whole, happy and COMPLETELY FREE. Now do it again and again and again. DO NOT GO BACK – EVER !!!! Walk in freedom from now on. This is your eternal life.

When people ask me “What should I do?”
I answer: “Rest. Do nothing. Live in complete rest. Look within you and know your wants and your likes. Accept all of you. Rest.”
That’s all we’re supposed to do. Everything falls into place after that. Rest, baby, rest.

Hearing?

DON’T. LET. YOUR. THINKING. GET. IN. THE. WAY. OF. YOUR. HEARING. GOD !!

Happy?

CAN. YOU. SEE. YOURSELF. HEALED? RICH? HAPPY? FULFILLED?

Perfect?

THIS MAY BLOW YOUR MIND (ALTHOUGH I’M SURE YOU’VE READ IT MANY, MANY TIMES): JESUS DIDN’T EVEN MENTION HEAVEN *IN THE SCRIPTURE, John 17:3, QUOTED BELOW. HE’S TALKING ABOUT THE HERE AND NOW !! . A CLOSE, PERSONAL, INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT !! . IT SOLVES EVERYTHING !!

I believe so COMPLETELY in the FINISHED WORK of Jesus that I find pleading with Him to be a negative approach at best. He has done ALL that He ever needed to do to give us the perfection that we crave. We just don’t trust Him enough. He even set up a whole new covenant for us which began after the cross. We need to glean more and more knowledge of the vast immensity of this amazing God of ours, who is pure Love. We need to dis-cover how it is that every promise He has ever made is in fact true. We need to want Him more than our daily food. God IS the answer to every ‘need’ that arises. Have we really, really put Him first? Instead of pleading with God to do what He’s already done, we need to enlighten the sufferer as to the true nature of God. People don’t need a temporary expedient: they need Jesus. They can have Him living on the inside of them INSTEAD of believing that they need to look to a third person to effect healing in their lives.

SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO WALK AWAY!
A. You’ve got a problem – a huge one that just won’t let go. It’s not your fault and you shouldn’t be suffering so much. The more you try to reason with them the worse the situation gets and you really want to do something drastic to turn it around but that would be reacting emotionally and you know better than to do that.
B. What now? You know how things should be going and you wish you could find a way to make them happen. They were clearly wrong, anyone could see that. It’s just simply not fair.
C. What if you took a whole different view of everything? What if God had a whole different plan for you than the one that’s been swimming in your head? What if this were the greatest opportunity for you to pack it in with that whole lifestyle? Could you pull it all together and walk away from that whole mindset and all its participants? I think you can.
D. But the temptation is still to settle. What you need is a replacement, not a license to pick up and start down another similar rabbit hole. You don’t want a sufficient amount of improvement to move about with agility and abandon. Been there, done that, right? You want OUT !!
E. Let’s put off the old you and put on the new you: we’re talking about an astronomical change! The new you is the real you, exactly as God created you to be, full of wonder and joy and perfect fulfillment.
F. The new you is what YOU would love to be in your wildest dreams as it has everything to do with being inexorably connected (aware of) your loving Creator.
G. That conscious awareness is your ticket to an indescribably glorious new life! It’s already within you and all around you: all you need is to wake up to it. Everything you need will fall into place miraculously as you learn to look away from the old and into the new.

Linda Binette: Robin I truly love this. I dream of the person I desire to be but I am not sure how to get there. I am at a starting over place AGAIN and I really want my life to be different.

Robin Starbuck: I’m going to imagine that it’s me we’re talking about (it’s safer that way, lol!!). I would give up!! I’d quit!! I mean I’d give up the whole nine yards, the whole kit ‘n caboodle! The whole megilla!!! Dump it all and recognize that God is in me, living through me and AS me. That’s huge. It’s astronomical. Everything changes to make way for God’s (my) allness to take over. I’d take no prisoners. I’d inform God (who is my true self) that I am now going to shut up and listen to Him. He loves to talk to me and love on me and ask me what I’d really, really, really like to do with the rest of my eternal life. I’d answer Him and then I’d shut up again. But that’s only me.

YOU WOULD LIKE MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE in the world to have a certain manifestation (healing) and as hard as you try not to focus on it, it’s just there all the time, n’es pas?
Let’s take a two-minute gander through the lens of human psychology: What would that demonstration (healing) buy you? Indescribable overwhelming joy forever?
IS IT POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE THAT NEWLY-DESCRIBED PRIZE IN ANY OTHER WAY THAN WHAT YOU’VE INITIALLY OUTLINED? Let’s visit the world of astro-physics for a moment: “Professor Stephen Hawking is backing a new search for alien intelligence on an astronomical scale that within 10 years could reveal if we are alone in the universe.” (Farflex)
Stephen Hawking, is world famous not only for his amazing breakthroughs in physics but also for the fact that he’s quadriplegic. I have often wondered if he would deign to trade his condition – and his extraordinary brain – and be like lil ol’ me.
In view of all the aforementioned, how about you? Can you redefine ……… ………….. STOP !! Hold it right there!
Can you let God redefine for you what form “Indescribable overwhelming joy forever” might feel like? Where it might emanate from? How it might express itself in your life? Don’t be TOO quick to answer – make sure you’ve got your whole self on board.
Let’s state once again our disclaimer: we don’t believe that God is an omnipotent being outside of ourself. He’s Omnipotence, period! But we do accept His open invitation to talk with and listen to Him, just as Jesus does and taught us to do.
Whereas a physical ‘healing’ (bodily, monetarily, etc.) may have severe repercussions, including complete reversal, God’s healing really IS forever! AND !!! … it’s the most receptive place anyone can possibly be to receive full, complete, irreversible healing.

Need healing?
God created you
In His image and likeness.
Everything about you is
As perfect as He is.
Say so to every claim.
Don’t look back.
Don’t test God –
With doubt and fear.
Decide here and now
Once and for all
That God in you
Is infinitely more important
Than anything else.
Anything at all.
Feel Him there.
Realize He’s there –
INSTEAD OF all else.
How long are you
Willing to try?
Sorry, trying’s not
Going to accomplish anything.
Nothing at all.
And that’s THE WHOLE KEY.

God has already done His part. We need to be able to believe what we don’t see with our eyes. We need to trust God more. By his stripes you are healed. Now. Can you believe it? Yes, you can.
