Death and beyond -NM

Questioner: When an ordinary man dies, what happens to him?

Maharaj: According to his belief it happens. As life before death is but imagination, so is life after. The dream continues.

Q: And what about the gnani?
M: The gnani does not die because he was never born.

Q: He appears so to others.
M: But not to himself. In himself he is free of things — physical and mental.

Q: Still you must know the state of the man who died. At least from your own past lives.

M: Until I met my Guru I knew so many things. Now I know nothing, for all knowledge is in dream only and not valid. I know myself and I find no life nor death in me, only pure being — not being this or that, but just being. But the moment the mind,
drawing on its stock of memories, begins to imagine, it fills the space with objects and time with events.

As I do not know even this birth, how can I know past births?
It is the mind that, itself in movement, sees everything moving, and having created time, worries about the past and future.

All the universe is cradled in consciousness
(maha tattva), which arises where there is perfect order and harmony (maha sattva). As all waves are in the ocean, so are all things physical and mental in awareness.
Hence awareness itself is all important, not the content of it.

Deepen and broaden your awareness of yourself and all the blessings will flow. You need not seek anything, all will come to
you most naturally and effortlessly.

The five senses and the four functions of the mind — memory, thought, understanding and selfhood; the five elements — earth, water, fire, air and ether; the two aspects of creation — matter and spirit, all are con-
tained in awareness.

Q: Yet, you must believe in having lived before.

M: The scriptures say so, but I know nothing about it. I know myself as I am; as I appeared or will appear is not within my
experience. It is not that I do not remember. In fact there is nothing to remember. Reincarnation implies a reincarnating self. There is no such thing. The bundle of memories and hopes, called the ‘I’, imagines itself existing everlastingly and creates time to accommodate its false eternity: To be, I need no past or future. All experience is born of imagination; I do not imagine, so no birth or death happens to me. Only those who think themselves born can think themselves re-born. You are accusing me of having been born — I plead not guilty!

All exists in awareness and awareness neither dies nor is reborn. It is the changeless reality itself.
All the universe of experience is born with the body and dies with the body; it has its beginning and end in awareness, but
awareness knows no beginning, nor end. If you think it out carefully and brood over it for a long time, you will come to see the
light of awareness in all its clarity and the world will fade out of your vision.

It is like looking at a burning incense stick; you see the stick and the smoke first; when you notice the fiery point, you realize that it has the power to consume mountains of sticks and fill the universe with smoke.

Timelessly the self actualizes itself,
without exhausting its infinite possibilities. In the incense stick simile the stick is the body and the smoke is the mind. As long
as the mind is busy with its contortions, it does not perceive its own source. The Guru comes and turns your attention to the
spark within. By its very nature the mind is outward turned; it always tends to seek for the source of things among the things
themselves; to be told to look for the source within, is, in a way, the beginning of a new life. Awareness takes the place of con-
sciousness; in consciousness there is the ‘I’, who is conscious,
while awareness is undivided; awareness is aware of itself.

The ‘I am’ is a thought, while awareness is not a thought; there is no ‘I am aware’ in awareness. Consciousness is an attribute while awareness is not; one can be aware of being conscious, but not conscious of awareness. God is the totality of consciousness, but awareness is beyond all — being as well as not-being.

Absolutely nothing to argue -RAdams

The best course for you is silence. There’s absolutely nothing to debate. There’s really nothing to think about. There’s nothing to argue about. In the silence everything will be revealed to you. All you really have to do is to keep still. I know that’s hard for some of you, for you keep chatting away all your life. Yet if you would learn to keep still, you would make tremendous spiritual progress.

Root of all desires -Jean Klein

Jean Klein
“The root of all desires is the one desire: to come home, to be at peace. There may be a moment in life when our compensatory activities, the accumulation of money, learning and objects, leaves us feeling deeply apathetic. This can motivate us towards the search for our real nature beyond appearances. We may find ourselves asking, ‘Why am I here? What is life? Who am I?’ Sooner or later any intelligent person asks these questions. What you are looking for is what you already are, not what you will become. What you already are is the answer and the source of the question. In this lies its power of transformation. It is a present actual fact. Looking to become something is completely conceptual, merely an idea. The seeker will discover that he is what he seeks and that what he seeks is the source of the inquiry.”
~Jean Klein I AM

When you say I = experience, therefore consciousness

https://youtu.be/zFNdNVR3VtI
I <=> CONSCIOUSNESS
When you say I that is the experiencer so either you don’t know what you’re talking about or you are talking about the experiencer which is the one with the consciousness. If you If you think that you are in time the experiencer is distinct from the thing he is experiencing because he is NOT in time.
THAT WHICH EXPERIENCES TIME CANNOT BE IN TIME.
WHAT MAKES UNDERSTANDING OBJECTIVE?
That which understands and that which experiences is one and the same.
Both are the same I.

Vedantic AND Tantric -RSpira

DISTANCE VS NON-DISTANCE: VEDANTIC VS TANTRIC APPROACHES TO EMOTIONS AND HEALING 13:05
We turn away from our objective experience of thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensations, Whether pleasant or unpleasant and we turn in the opposite direction toward that with which object experience is known.

I am aware of my experience. Whether I am deeply depressed or ecstatically happy the I is exactly the same in both cases. That’s the 1st step to establish what I am. I am the presence of awareness independent of all experience. We go back again and again and again Until we not just understand but we establish in our experience Til we know and feel ourselves To be that 1. That recognition Is the recognition of what we essentially are. That recognition is not enough to put an end to the years and the layers Of feelings and indeed beliefs That we’ve accumulated over the years. Even after we’ve recognized what we are we need to go back again and again to our beliefs and feelings. We’ve been repeating them over the decades again and again until they are a well worn habit. Both the habit of thinking and the habit of feeling Is ever had a cated put a plant the moment we recognize our true nature! Having turned around and faced our habits and beliefs we have to turn back And face our experience. But we don’t face it again as our separate selves anymore we face it knowing who we really are. As awareness our feelings are completely welcome just as everything in this Room Is. The space in this Room does not have to negotiate With every person that comes into the Room and say I like you and I don’t like you. This space cannot negotiate with who were what is in it because the space is empty and it doesn’t judge or a opinions. The space in this Room cannot resist what’s in it even if we were to fight each other. It’s a benevolent indifference. Now we can invite our feelings to come back Because we welcome within us that is within our space of awareness We let these feelings soak. Now we can welcome feelings Rather than trying to get rid of them as we have been doing all our lives. The separate self is very clever in applying non-dual teachings To get rid of feelings but that’s fake Welcoming that’s welcoming something so that you can get rid of it. You say this to a feeling You must be able to answer yes to that question Because then you would know that there’s no trace in you With which to get rid of it. Look at it what is a feeling! For which you have absolutely no response Put the story that accompanies this suffering Aside because they’re not dealing with beliefs and feelings We are dealing with the espec’s of the feelings that is important When you next find yourself suffering with a sense of lack Don’t let your mind go into the story. Just go to The feeling and sensation of lakh . It may take some time . You turn towards it and you invite it Bring it closer and closer and closer Til you can honestly say I have no resent ment towards these feelings and what remains.

Consciousness/Presence/Awareness is like an ocean of water.

The waking state is like the waves on the surface of the ocean. The dream state is like the currents in the middle of the ocean. Deep sleep is like the stillness in the depths of the ocean.

But all there is to the surface, the currents and the depths is the water. It’s all a movement of water. All there is to experience is knowing, the activity of consciousness. The only real content or texture of any experience is the knowing of it.

Put the problem OUT … to heal it -rjs

Would you like to try a very basic level healing experiment with me right now? If so, let’s try this: choose some small problem that has been bothering you but you’ve managed to ignore. Have you got it?
Good. Now I’m going to ask you to put it so far out of your conscious awareness that we’re not going to discuss it at all. No, it’s not the pink elephant game – it’s not a game at all. The issue could be a specific mental or physical anguish. Let’s give it a general name so we’re all on the same page. Let’s call it recurring headaches (This has never been my particular case: I’m just keeping it general for us now.).
Now what we’re going to want to do is talk in great detail about what IS true. For this we will need to see through false appearances right straight to the reality that Jesus “saw” which healed every single time. He saw everyone as they really are – perfect! Right where the headache seemed to be Jesus saw God’s own child, unencumbered and free!
Actually I believe it’s safe to say it was never a two-step process with Jesus (believing the lie and then un-believing it); He simply SAW THROUGH the seeming and beheld the person healed.
The only thing that remains for us is to be consistent, tenacious and strong. Whenever the slightest thought or remembrance surfaces, take charge for dear life!
See yourself as God created you: perfect, whole, happy and COMPLETELY FREE. Now do it again and again and again. DO NOT GO BACK – EVER !!!! Walk in freedom from now on. This is your eternal life.

MORE HEALING
Weird stuff going on here! This morning my eyes were excruciatingly itchy – unbelievably itchy!! I was reminded of an incident many years ago when one eye was so itchy and I rubbed it so hard that my boyfriend had to drive me to the hospital for emergency treatment. I had to wear an eye patch for several loooong days! Ugh!!
But, no problem, I’ll just put on some antihistamine eye drops … No, stop!! But Papa they’re just over-the-counter … No! I want you to apply your healing principles. But they’re sooo itchy… No! You can do it!
So I said one sentence to negate the claim: “No!!! – you can’t be itchy because God can’t have itchy eyes!! Then about 10-20 statements of AFFIRMATION, declaring that God is all power and present everywhere! He created me and my eyes out of the selfsame substance that He consists of. Jesus never missed – He saw only spiritual reality where humans see a lie. I got so involved in my affirmations of Truth that I didn’t even realize that all the itchiness had entirely disappeared. 3-4 hours later, I felt a little bit itchy again, so I said more sternly than ever, “No!” As I began to repeat my healing affirmations, it immediately disappeared – this time permanently! Praise God, praise God, praise God!!!
