“Fill it out” vs. “Flesh it out”

F I L L . I T . O U T

There’s an unfortunate phrase in common English parlance whose very usage beclouds its own meaning: “flesh it out”.

Now I don’t mean it any harm as it so perfectly alludes to the filling out of an idea to the end that it becomes vibrant and alive with verve and fragility as flesh is wont to be.

With my head held low I bow to its considerably diminutive sister “fill it out (no pun intended)” speech particle, as I endeavor to win the hearts of enlightenment-seekers across the globe and beyond. Here’s what’s left of this pearl of great wisdom:

FILL OUT YOUR SPIRITUAL LOVE GIFTS with very deliberate and personal open-ended, wide-awake, fully verbalized depictions of what they (should) mean TO YOU.

You’ve been “told” more times than you’d care to own up to that you are spiritual and perfect here and now, in this world. What the deuce does it mean?

Even this: you do not have a physical – fleshly – body at all. So how could you be in distress of any kind? You are the full manifestation of Spirit, God, this very moment, before the time construct was ever invented. Could you please go back and re-read that last sentence, eliminating the words “the full manifestation of”.

Yes, that’s right I compromised again in honor of my nay-saying erstwhile friends. In fact, you are God itself; you fill all space … you!!! Think of all that you could know just by filling out the implications.

You’re in Egypt right now – and mainland China as well. The substance of your entire being is Love, ablaze with the tenderest, gentlest affection for every non-fleshly presentation of Light.

And you’re sitting on the lap of your favorite enemy.

NO DETAILS PLEASE :

“This brings us to the nature of treatment or contemplative healing meditations in the Infinite Way. ●We have no concern with the name or nature of a problem. Whether it is physical, mental, moral, or financial, it is all the same. We are not trying to do anything to the problem.● All we are going to do is to bring ourselves to the consciousness of the spirit of the Lord, the realization of God’s presence because, when we attain that, liberty and freedom from all discord for ourselves and for those who are attuned to our consciousness will be found. “
Joel Goldsmith
The Only Freedom
Chapter 10

If I, Robin, were to fill your mind with all the unfair issues I am contending with, I’d undoubtedly pull you down further than you are now. Let’s always agree on my page that NO DETAILS of error is the only way. Let’s see each other as God sees us without wavering. Tysm.

Love JSG

You must remember that the greatest power on earth, in heaven, or in hell is the power of love; but love is not an emotion, and love is not a word. Love can never be expressed in words. Love is an act. As a matter of fact, the very words, “I love you,” can be covering up the opposite. A spoken word of love has no more relationship to love than speaking the word God has any relationship to God. No one is ever going to know God by saying, “God,” and no one is ever going to love by saying, “Love.”
Love is an act, and it is not only an act, it is a series of acts. It must be love in action, which means care, thoughtfulness, forgiveness, consideration, cooperation, and benevolence. It was expressed by Paul in that same way when he said that of all the things that are important, the greatest is love. Yes, the greatest is love; but not the word “love,” the act of love.
How do we know this from scripture? The Master said very little about love, except to admonish us to love the Lord with all our heart and to love our neighbor as ourselves; but he said a great deal about love in action when he spoke of forgiveness, when he taught the importance of feeding the hungry, healing the sick, visiting the prisoner in prison, consoling the mourner. None of this had anything to do with speech: this all had to do with action.

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” Matthew 25:35, 36

If we look at the life of Jesus, we will see that when the woman sinned, he forgave her; when the multitudes were hungry, he fed them; when Lazarus was dead, he raised him up; and all this had nothing to do with words. It all had to do with acts.
Metaphysicians have foolishly believed that when they think, declare, or read prayers, affirmations, or treatments, there will be an answer from God. But there is no answer from God except in the fulfillment of the laws of God. It is not enough to sit back and desire that we be healed. It is not sufficient that we sit back and desire that the Lord God come down out of His holy temple and provide for us. It is not going to happen that way.
As we open ourselves to the vision and the realization of God, we have to act as if we were children of God and put into operation the laws of God. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind…. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” These words are not prayers: they are commands, and when those commands are obeyed, fulfillment takes place. Prayer is an activity: it is the activity of the soul, the mind, and the body. All three have to work together in fulfilling the commandments.

The Guest House RUMI

The Guest House

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Egotism

E G O T I S M

IS THE CRUELEST LABEL TO SLAP ON

those who are telling people

NO EFFORT IS NEEDED TO DO WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY DONE. PERIOD.

For a huge portion of humanity, a good, strong, diligent, unyielding effort is needed to AWAKEN to this glorious fact (as all true spiritual leaders know).

Mental malpractice RJS

MENTAL MALPRACTICE?

It’s worth being made aware of. When things seem to start going wrong even though you’ve been well plugged in spiritually with much consistency, it could be that your distress is caused by another’s mental malpractice.

The easiest way to describe it is to contrast mental malpractice with its antipode – prayer. In meditation or prayer, one seeks to connect lovingly with God, remembering that God’s entire creation includes everyone, bar none. Mental malpractice is beholding this creation with a selfish, self- serving desire to do harm – either on purpose or inadvertently.

In this hypnotic world we call home, much jealousy, egotism, and downright cruelty are the norm. We think it’s all happening “out there” when in fact nothing exists outside our own consciousness. People subconsciously or semi-consciously project their own insecurity onto others, which, if not challenged, could – seemingly – register a deleterious effect.

It’s all taken care of by the alert person who maintains constant spiritual contact. A simple negation is all that’s needed. But for those of us who tend to step out into the seductive world of everyday living, a general sense of vulnerability seems to reign.

Don’t stop at critical point

D O N’ T . S T O P . N O W

There’s a critical problem to be dealt with and ignoring it has not helped matters, right?

You have a pretty good idea of where you need to be spiritually because you’ve been there many times. But why are you not there now and why does ‘there’ seem distant and remote?

Lack of consistency is the key, of course, and that brings you to the present. You’re ‘there’ now so let’s stay with this wonderful place to work from. What does it look and feel like? Total, complete perfection, harmony, awareness and love. Permanent peace, ineffable joy! Not one nanosecond of regret or remorse – just pure knowing, forever and ever.

Now the onus is upon you to do whatever is necessary in your consciousness to maintain this identification.

Beyond time HF

Now apparently, Einstein, and Eckhart, and Joel, all saw the illusion of time. They all saw that time was not passing. When you stop to think what they were saying and ask yourself, “Well, did Jesus say this too, what other great Spiritual leaders, showed this, demonstrated this, taught this?” You’re going to find that once you are aware of this incredible idea that time simply is not passing, that you’re going to find all kinds of evidence piling up, not only from your own intelligence, but your Bible will spring to life with passages you never dreamed about, because you were so busy in the consciousness of time, that you simply didn’t see them.
