I guess the best way to deal with a word like “created” is to recognize that it has two main connotations (most people disregard this and get tangled in terminology). God created man VS God as man. If God IS all, there’s nothing to create. If God created all, it’s saying the same thing as a SEEMINGLY two-step process. It would SEEM that JSG and ACIM disagree, but I say it’s merely a matter of semantics.

Transition uses discordant experiences – JSG
The crucifixion of the self is accomplished when there is nothing left for which you wish to pray. To those unfolding on the spiritual path, come the discordant experiences of human life, until the transition from “this world” has been completely accomplished.
The desire is to avoid or escape these inharmonies of mind, body, or economic affairs – but this cannot be done, since the discords result solely from the battle with Spirit and “the flesh,” that is, with spiritual consciousness and material sense.
To those on the way, harmony in human affairs often is a lack of spiritual awakening; and, therefore, when the battle, leading to the overcoming of “this world” is on, the initiate will remain as quiet as possible under the adverse circumstances, endeavoring to refrain from fighting erroneous conditions and insofar as possible “letting” the warfare go on until the moment of transition arrives.
When your spiritual study is sincere, the breaking-up of your material world –the desertion of friends, students, or family, a change of health or other outer activity — often ushers in the spiritual transition, or rebirth. This is the attainment of that which you have sought. A tremendous movement is taking place as the initiate discerns the difference between physical harmony and spiritual wholeness.

Head, brain, universe, all projected – GR
Your head, your brain, your body, your world, your entire universe, any parallel universes, and anything else that can be perceived are projections of the mind. They are all symbolic of just one thought.

Knowledge vs Perception – ACIM
From knowledge and perception respectively, two distinct thought systems arise which are opposite in every respect. In the realm of knowledge no thoughts exist apart from God, because God and His Creation share one Will. The world of perception, however, is made by the belief in opposites and separate wills, in perpetual conflict with each other and with God. What perception sees and hears appears to be real because it permits into awareness only what conforms to the wishes of the perceiver. This leads to a world of illusions, a world which needs constant defense precisely because it is not real.

Siddhartha became Buddha = Christ – JSG
Siddhartha, who had left his home and family in search of truth, finally received enlightenment and became the Buddha, the Enlightened One, or as we term it, the Christ of his day.

“I am awake” (Buddah) = I made illusion – GR
When Buddha said, “I am awake,” he meant he realized that he was not actually a participant in the illusion, but the maker of the entire illusion. Still, there is another step required, where the mind that is the maker of the illusion chooses completely against itself in favor of God. Of course someone of Buddha’s tremendous accomplishment had a snap of it, quickly going on to the exact same awareness as J[esus].

You’re not here, separated from God – GR
NOT SEPARATED FROM GOD AT ALL
●●●●●●●●●●
It doesn’t do you much good to know you’re not here if you don’t have the whole picture. Sure, it’s a step in the right direction, but the kind of thing I’m speaking of right now is not just that I’m not here, but that I don’t even exist in an individual way —not on any level. There is no separated or individual soul. There is no Atman, as the Hindus call it, except as a mis-thought in the mind. There is only God.

One Mind outside time & space – GR
There isn’t really any such thing as a subject and an object, there is only oneness. Still unknown to you is that this is an imitation of genuine oneness, for few have learned to make the distinction between being one with the mind that has seemingly separated itself from God, and being one with God. The mind must be returned to Him. 4 Yet traditional non-dualism is a necessary step along the way, for you have learned you can’t really separate one thing from anything else —nor can you separate anything from you. As hinted at earlier, this idea is well expressed by the models of quantum physics. Newtonian physics held that objects were real and outside of you with a separate existence. Quantum physics demonstrates that this is not true. The universe is not what you assume it to be; everything that appears to exist is really inseparable thought. You can’t even observe something without causing a change in it on the sub-atomic level. Everything is in your mind, including your own body. As aspects of Buddhism correctly teach, the mind that is thinking everything is one mind, and this mind is completely outside the illusion of time and space.

Is Spirit getting cOmPliCaTeD ?
IS SPIRIT GETTING cOmPliCaTeD ?
Has Awakening to Full Spirituality
become rather cOmPliCaTeD Lately?
Let’s see now: There’s reading and
Listening and communing and
Praying and Meditating and Stillness…
Just now I heard the Holy Spirit say
in my spirit: Do one thing only and
you’ll have all the others covered.
But It didn’t say what that was, only
that that’s what I was doing.
So let’s retrace my steps … back …
back … back … Oh, yes, “I heard”.
I must have been … listening!
Read or listen?
WOULD YOU REALLY LIKE TO READ SOME HEAVY-DUTY MATERIAL (LIKE ACIM) BUT NEED A LITTLE READING ENCOURAGEMENT?
I don’t like to start off a post on a negative note about myself, but I’m thinking it could be helpful to others who secretly regard themselves as not very good readers.
I had an extremely difficult childhood with diseases, neglect and sabotage. My parents were contacted re. my sub-standard reading and I was put into a special remedial class. That went nowhere because quite frankly nobody cared.
I managed to somehow graduate from high school and come to the big city where I realized my deficit was interfering with my normal daily activities, especially socially: I just didn’t like to read – but oh how I wished I did. So I decided to take just one college course, just to see if I could handle it. It was an English course and I struggled very much. But I aced it!!! You can’t imagine how exhilarated I felt with that accomplishment!!! I had done it on my own with only God’s help.
I began to take more and more courses all the while struggling with my reading and wishing it were more of a joy in and of itself, but that never happened. I finally became content with the knowledge that the reward for reading – for me – was when I finished and had all that knowledge swimming in my consciousness! That was good enough for me. I kept taking more and more college courses until I earned a bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D., but that’s not the point of this message.
I suspect that there are a lot of people out there who really don’t like to read, especially technical or inspirational material. They love to see short colorful memes or perhaps a few conjoined paragraphs, but don’t like to have their attention span challenged! My message here is this “YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE MISSING!” The sheer ecstasy of overcoming the bugaboo of an aversion to reading is phenomenal!!! The rewards are astronomical!!! A whole new world opens up to you. It’s true that the new world opens up a bit by listening to pre-recorded material; but, in the case of something you really want or need to internalize, it doesn’t come close.
● Some years later I embarked on a thorough study of A COURSE IN MIRACLES and you can bet that those study skills that I had gleaned earlier came in very handy – especially in ‘doing’ its LESSONS!
Over the years I’ve probably listened to A Course in Miracles on tape as a refresher for thousands of hours: it made me feel sooo good! But I’ll never forget a guy I knew about 24 years ago who had been listening to it on cassettes. I happened to mention to him that Jesus was the author and Helen Schucman acted as “scribe,” taking dictation from Him. He didn’t have a clue what I was talking about although it was included in the tapes! He never “got it” just from listening even though Jesus as author was mentioned extensively. He also never even “got it” that A Course in Miracles is a COURSE and the 365 lessons at the end of the book were a Course requirement! I’ve enjoyed listening to ACIM over the past 24 years; but owing to its profound importance, my listening has only been as a review.
