Breaking up of former self JSG

The crucifixion of the self is accomplished when there is nothing left for which you wish to pray. To those unfolding on the spiritual path, come the discordant experiences of human life, until the transition from “this world” has been completely accomplished.
The desire is to avoid or escape these inharmonies of mind, body, or economic affairs – but this cannot be done, since the discords result solely from the battle with Spirit and “the flesh,” that is, with spiritual consciousness and material sense.
To those on the way, harmony in human affairs often is a lack of spiritual awakening; and, therefore, when the battle, leading to the overcoming of “this world” is on, the initiate will remain as quiet as possible under the adverse circumstances, endeavoring to refrain from fighting erroneous conditions and insofar as possible “letting” the warfare go on until the moment of transition arrives.
When your spiritual study is sincere, the breaking-up of your material world –the desertion of friends, students, or family, a change of health or other outer activity — often ushers in the spiritual transition, or rebirth. This is the attainment of that which you have sought. A tremendous movement is taking place as the initiate discerns the difference between physical harmony and spiritual wholeness.

ACIM 365 days lessons & reading

Has anyone had the desire to “do the Course (ACIM)” but put it off coz of the book’s length?
I’ve got good news for you: since it consists of 365 short lessons, you could do (as I am again) one per day along with 10-15 min. reading. In one year you won’t be able to recognize yourself!
This short but rigorous mind-training might be just what you need:

Prayer prior to our enlightenment JSG

Before our enlightenment in truth, we prayed for things and persons; in other words, we sought to gain some personal end. With his great vision, Emerson wrote: “Prayer that craves a particular commodity, anything less than all good, is vicious.” Then this wise man defines prayer for us: “Prayer is the contemplation of the facts of life from the highest point of view. It is the soliloquy of a beholding and jubilant soul. It is the spirit of God pronouncing His works good. . . . As soon as the man is one with God, he will not beg.” Prayer must not be understood as going to God for something because, as Emerson continues, “Prayer as a means to effect a private end is meanness and theft.”

Not same level of reality ACIM

The injunction “Be of one mind” is the statement for revelation-readiness. My request “Do this in remembrance of me” is the appeal for cooperation from miracle workers. The two statements are not in the same order of reality. Only the latter involves an awareness of time, since to remember is to recall the past in the present. Time is under my direction, but timelessness belongs to God. In time we exist for and with each other. In timelessness we coexist with God.

Who told you? HF

Who told you? My doctor, his charts, his machines, his X-rays. Well does God know anything about this, and you’re about to say, “Well I suppose so,” but it occurs to you that if God knew something about this, how come God is letting it happen? How come God is letting a million plus die every year, how come God is selecting, fifty thousand youths and sending them away and saying, “Here, get your brains shot out?” How come God permits two thousand to be massacred in five minutes? How can God permit two million Blacks to be massacred in Biafra? How come God permits war after war after war, killing off what seems to be his own creation? Is that what the human mind sees, is it truth, is it what God sees? And finally, we see we have been creating a monster called God, a monster who kills, who permits killing, who encourages killing. Then we look at the real monster and find out it is the human mind; the misperceiving mind, the miscreating mind, the unillumined mind, that mind which walks the earth in a body of clay, and sees what is not there.

Shouldn’t spiritualize things in the universe GR

The ego, or wrong mind, makes everything that appears to happen on the level of form. Spirit makes nothing happen on the level of form, which is why you shouldnt spiritualize events or objects in the universe. The right mind gives the Holy Spirits interpretation of the level of form, leading you – and by you we mean that observatory part of the mind that has identified with and this bound itself to the ego – back home. Home is unchangeable spirit.

Can’t forgive what’s not real

Papa said: “It is not possible for you to forgive others, only to desire to forgive others. By so desiring, I give you the gift of forgiveness and then you truly have forgiveness. It flows out from you, through you. In Truth, it is not yours to give. All things come of Me and are My free gift to all who will receive freely. Thus can these good gifts not be abused or manipulated by distorted desires.”

When Papa says that it is not possible for me to forgive others, only to desire to forgive, but that He had empowered Jesus in this, I interpret this as meaning that all the while the fragmented Sonship perceives sin as real, we are unable, of our limited, persona self, to truly forgive, but when we desire to forgive, we begin on the path back to wakefulness, remembrance of our true Being as His one Son, Christ. Then, like Jesus, we come to realize that there is no actual sin, only a dream of sin, so true forgiveness becomes possible for us.

Forgiveness recognizes what you thought your brother did to you has not occurred. It does not pardon sins and (thus) make them real (‘false’ forgiveness). It sees there was no sin. And in that view are all your sins forgiven. What is sin, except a false idea about God’s Son? Forgiveness merely sees its falsity, and therefore lets it go. What then is free to take its place is now the Will of God.

Fear of healing

The fear of healing arises in the end from an unwillingness to accept unequivocally that healing is necessary. What the physical eye sees is not corrective, nor can error be corrected by any device that can be seen physically. As long as you believe in what your physical sight tells you, your attempts at correction will be misdirected. The real vision is obscured, because you cannot endure to see your own defiled altar. But since the altar has been defiled, your state becomes doubly dangerous unless it is perceived. T-2.V.9. Healing is an ability that developed after the separation, before which it was unnecessary.

Meaninglessness undoes ego

Recognition of meaninglessness arouses intense anxiety in all the separated ones. It represents a situation in which God and the ego “challenge” each other as to whose meaning is to be written in the empty space that meaninglessness provides. The ego rushes in frantically to establish its own ideas there, fearful that the void may otherwise be used to demonstrate its own impotence and unreality. And on this alone it is correct.

Meaninglessness <> indescribably happy

INDESCRIBABLY HAPPY !!

What is meaningless is neither good nor bad. Why, then, should a meaningless world upset you? If you could accept the world as meaningless and let the truth be written upon it for you, it would make you indescribably happy. But because it is meaningless, you are impelled to write upon it what you would have it be. It is this you see in it. It is this that is meaningless in truth. Beneath your words is written the Word of God. The truth upsets you now, but when your words have been erased, you will see His.
